A foreign company based outside of Ireland wanted to hire employees based in Ireland to support to their operations and marketing function. The foreign company did not intend for the Irish operation to have any external sales, as the employment roles were of a support nature. The client’s initial plan was to set up a subsidiary or a branch in Ireland. We were able to offer the foreign company an alternative solution, the foreign company could register as an employer in Ireland and hire the Irish employees.
